This Sunday – Basis of Union: Article XX – Of Christian Service and the Final Triumph
We have arrived at the last article of doctrine of the Basis of Union, Article XX – Of the Christian Service and the Final Triumph. The first part can be summarized as a description of what it means to live a “Christian” life. The second part is a vision for what the world can become.
In our world today, there are many self-styled “good Christians” who are making headlines for their stances on certain social issues and their attitudes to identifiable minorities. Some of you, perhaps many of you, will look at these people and say, “That’s not my idea of Christian.” So, if what can see when others are living or expressing a “Christianity’ that is different from our idea, can we express, define, or live our Christianity. And do any of these “Christianities” bear an obvious relationship to the life and teachings of Jesus?
CHILDREN IN WORSHIP
Although there is no Sunday School during the summer, children are still welcome to be present for worship. To make things a bit easier, Activity Packs are available each Sunday at the Welcome Table.

Do you have a favourite hymn that you’d like to hear included in one of our worship services? Please let Bonnie C. know your choice and she will make sure it is sung within the month.
A WAY TO CONTRIBUTE FINANCIALLY
You don’t have offering envelopes, you are not on PAR, and you don’t get to church as often as you would like, but you want to make a financial contribution to work of Spirit West, and receive a tax receipt. RIDE TO CHURCH?
From time to time we encounter people who would like to come to church at Spirit West, but are unable to because they do not have means of transportation. Can you give a ride? If you would be willing to make yourself available to provide a ride to church please call the church office. Do you need a ride?
