From the Prophets: Isaiah 7:10-16, 9:6-7 and Micah 5:1-5
From the Gospels: Matthew 1:18-23
CHILDREN AT CHURCH DURING THE SUMMER
Although the Sunday School has ended for the season, children are still welcome at church! We will have Activity Packs (look for the maroon nylon cases at the welcome table) which children can explore either in the sanctuary or in the lounge
KEEP THE DATES – THURSDAY, AUGUST 18 AND FRIDAY, AUGUST 19
Spirit West Community Garage Sale: Please start collecting items now and donate them to the church tables. Donations for the church table will be accepted and stored at the church starting Aug 2nd. All items except clothing are very welcome. If you are unable to bring items to the church yourself, call the office at 780-481-1406 to make arrangements for pick-up. All proceeds to go to paying down the mortgage. We will need volunteers to help set up and price items on Tues, Aug. 17; work sales and cash on Aug. 18 & 19 and takedown and cleanup on Aug. 19 from 8 to 9 pm. Signup sheets are available on the table outside the office today.
RIDE TO CHURCH?
From time to time we encounter people who would like to come to church at Spirit West, but are unable to because they do not have means of transportation. Can you give a ride? If you would be willing to make yourself available to provide a ride to church please call the church office. Do you need a ride? Would you like to come to church at Spirit West, but are unable to because you have no ride, please call the church office.

The Spirit West Prayer Chain is a group of people who have committed to continue our prayers of concern from Sunday through the week.
